Friends for Conservation and Development (FCD) is pleased to present the inaugural issue of Las Cuevas Explorer, the official bulletin of Las Cuevas Research Station.

Published bi-annually, Las Cuevas Explorer highlights the important research, education, conservation, and monitoring activities taking place at the station, while sharing the stories, wildlife, researchers, and people that make Las Cuevas a unique center for scientific discovery in Belize’s Chiquibul ecosystem.

The September 2026 issue also marks an important new chapter for the station following the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between FCD and the Belize Forest Department for the continued management and administration of Las Cuevas Research Station.
